Fans Roll Their Way to Cash Prizes in ‘Million Dollar May’

Today is the first day of May. The birds are chirping,
the flowers are blooming, and I’ve got a whole lot
of money to give away. It’s time for my
Million Dollar May! [MUSIC PLAYING] You don’t really have
to blow right into it. It still works All right. We’ve partnered with Walmart to
give away a total of $1 million to deserving people throughout
the entire month of May, and there’s a letter I got
from a pediatric nurse named Kimberly I want
to share with you. But I left my glasses at
home, and I can’t read it. So she’s here today, luckily. Kimberly, come on down! [MUSIC PLAYING] Hi! Hi! Oh my god! Hello Kimberly! How are you? I’m good! Good. My heart’s racing! Good! Good! Come on over here next to me. Kimberly, you’re
a pediatric nurse. Pediatric nurse from
Fresno, California. I have two jobs, actually. I work at Central Valley
regional center at a baby clinic and at Children’s
Hospital right there in Madera. Right. And then, when
you’re not working, you volunteer with
your kids, right? I do. To help climb that
clinical ladder there, we do a lot of time with them
in the playroom with the kids. And we put on little
carnivals, and it’s amazing. It’s so much fun. That’s so great. Well, that’s why you’re
here, because you do wonderful,
wonderful things, and I know you’re paying
off student loans. So you have some debt,
and you need some money. So I’m going to give you a
chance to win some money, OK? OK! Have you played this
game skee ball before? Yes. There’s amounts up there. There’s 50,000, there’s 25,000,
another 50,000, there’s 20,000, but all the way down to 1,000. So you have a chance to
win a bunch of money. How many balls do we have there? Three? Three. OK. So let’s see how much money
you can win, all right? Let’s make it dramatic though. Can you play the drums
in the lead up to the– Absolutely. [MUSIC PLAYING] Is that enough? That’s all you have
is those bongos? That’s all I got. All right. Jerry, can you get the
dramatic lighting, Jerry. All right. Because this could be
$150,000, if you get, I mean, depending
on what you get. It could be 1,000. Oh my god. OK. All right. Sure. I don’t know how to play,
but I think you just kind of. So that would be $5,000. All right. Would you want to aim
for the 25 or the– all right, well that’s five. All right. Give it a little more! She got $10,000. That was a 10. I see. One is down here. Five is down here. I understand. That’s 10. OK. So give it a little more “umph.” That’s another 10. That’s 20. All right? One more. One more. Yeah, give it a little more. That’s 5,000. So that’s 25,000, right? $25,000! That’s what you’ve just won! Thank you so much! That looks like the
fingers I just drew. Congratulations! We’ll be right back! Since we rented the skee
ball machine until 5:00, I thought it’d be fun to give
some more people a chance to win some money. We have three skee balls hidden. So everyone look
under your chairs. If you have one, come on down. [MUSIC PLAYING] Hi! Hi! All right! So who’s who? Who are you? I am Chelsea. Hi Chelsea. Where do you live? What do you do? I am 29 and I live in
a Escalon, California, and I’m a stay at home mom
to two beautiful babies. Hi beautiful babies. All right. And you are? Sydney, and I am
from Ogden, Utah, and I work at the
University of Utah, and I have a cute little
baby with red hair. I bet you do. And you are? I’m Alyssa! I’m from Corona, California. Sorry, I’m just really excited! OK. 24, I have no kids. And I work at Kaiser. All right. Wonderful. So you each have one
chance to win some money. Obviously there’s a lot of
money to be won up there, but you only have one chance. All right. Who wants to go first? You. Guys go first. All right. OK. Wait! No, just the dramatic lighting. Are we ready? Yes. You got it! $5,000, just like that! Oh my god! All right. $20,000. That’s amazing! Wow! You could get 20, or you could
get 25, or you can get 50, who knows? All right. That’s right. I’ve gotta stretch it out first. Stretch it out! I’m sorry. I’ve so nervous. OK all right. $10,000! All right. We still have over
$700,000 to give away. If you know someone
doing something great, I want to hear about them. Use the #sparkkindness I
want to thank Blake Shelton. I’ll see you tomorrow. Be kind to one another. Bye, bye!
